tips to avoid binging


  • wait 15 minutes. when the feeling of anxiety strikes, tell yourself you'll eat in 15 minutes, then drink a glass of water. wait another 15 minutes and drink another glass of water. you probably won't want to binge by then
    • if you still want to binge, make a list of things to do as you wait another 15 minutes, such as:
    • taking a bubble bath or shower or regular bath or bath fizzy bath. i really love this tip.
    • chores
    • reading tips on my blog or another website
    • catching up on your favorite tv show
    • watching a thinspo show such as supersize vs superskinny, or anything by anamiaflowergirl on youtube.
  • write down all the foods that you would binge on, then rip it up or burn it. (be careful with the fire please) or throw it away, just get rid of it.
    • also write negative thoughts or anxieties that are causing you to binge on the paper
  • watch happy shows at night because when you're sad or upset you'll want comfort food which will lead to a binge if you're prone to night binging
  • keep low cal foods on hand if you're really feeling like binging
    • baby carrots
    • celery
    • crackers
